The Left in this country has inarguably sewn chaos and mistrust across most of our traditional institutions over the last several years, but few strategies have been as destructive to society, than the demonization of law enforcement officers, and not just a few bad apples, but ALL of them.
Even a decade ago, being a police officer held some cache in the community, and not just post-9/11, patriotic, warm-fuzzies for first responders cache - which were both warranted and laudable - but also before that event, law enforcement in general, had the support of the community, especially in our most at-risk communities, which makes the strategy of demonization, curious...
If minorities are the bedrock base of the Left—and they are given the ~90% voting block they automatically & faithfully cede to Democratic candidates in general elections—then why make it less safe for those minority communities? Stated differently, why would the Left punish and harm their most loyal voters by allowing lawlessness to go unchecked and unpunished in areas most at risk for violent crimes?
Some will argue that the Left only cares about creating chaos and fear, regardless of who is affected, and while that remains true, that’s only part of it, for they also care about maintaining and expanding their power.
Corrupt, central-planning decisions designed to making the base of either political party feel unsafe, is likely to cause a bit of a populist backlash, maybe not in the next election cycle, but certainly at some point. Eventually people with means will move to safer spots and the ones who remain will become the most dangerous voting block of all, and that is people with little left to lose…the kind of amalgamation that precedes revolutions. Whether or not that is the implicit plan is for another article.
