One does not need to be steeped in the political sausage factory to hear often nowadays (including right here), that the pace of change in America has accelerated, and not in a way that leads to a more vibrant, healthy society, nor does one need to be a parent, or even employed. Merely existing in modern America for the last decade is enough to conclude that “things be a-changin’.”
This is NOT a doomer, woe-is-the-world, cynical Substack, however, so if that is the desired, “misery loves company” tone, contact admin and they can point to a few of the many resources engaging in political hand-wringing.
The thesis that can and will be argued, is that what remains of the Republic, still represents the best - if the THE best - country on earth, and that the present time - as hemmed in as citizens feel - persists as one of the best - if not THE best - times to be alive in all of human history, and THAT is saying something.
To restate: despite all the growing issues in this country, no better place this side of Heaven exists, to put a shoulder to the plow during the day and head to a pillow at night, a claim that will be re-addressed at the end of this short retrospective series.
Fairly important, however, is to understand what led to this point, because while the pace of change has accelerated, the impetus started decades ago; doing so will lay the foundation for what must be done to stall or reverse course, and why that is still possible.
This three-part series will focus on ten pillars:
Part I will deal with the four areas of Government that have been captured by or lost to Leftists, Communists, Betas, Demons —readers pick—which collectively pose the greatest threat to freedom and impede a return to “normalcy.”
